No thanks from edmonton

Terrible trade for Edm. Wennberg is on pace for 3 goals Duclair 26 points for a player on pace for 77 points.

Definitely tempting from Edmonton's perspective. But the gap between Nuge and Wennberg is pretty huge. Nuge has 52 points (mostly playing on his own line with crap wingers), and Wennberg has 23 points. Nuge is also far better defensively. But we desperately need picks and wingers who can score. Add on Sonny Milano and Edmonton might bite.

Here's my thing with Wennberg. He needs to play with people who are going to bury the puck. He's never really gonna have more than 15 goals but if he's on a line with Atkinson or in a good pp unit he's a passing freak. His value will go back up when he's put back into a bigger role. Wennberg has been a rock defensively, he's just not the best in the faceoff circle. Milano and any of the other prospects are definitely interchangeable.

Duclair with McDavid would be insanity though. He's one of the few players in the league that can match his speed. He's always a step ahead of everyone else on Columbus and it causes him problems.

Way too much for Stone! not enough for Panarin. I would not trade Stenlund or Davidsson.

I'd say 3 B chip prospects equal an A chip.. Jackets don't have any A chips besides maybe Bemstrom

Duclair is lazy, he's constantly benched and Torts is always yelling at him.
Why the hell would McDavid want to play with him?

Wennberg is better than almost anything Edmonton currently has. Period. But he's not worth RNH even with a 1st.

No to the philly and Ottawa trades.

Stone is never resigning here. Why waste your time and give up your return on Panarin for nothing. You'd be better off keeping Panarin for the playoffs.
