Some cap saving options

Team: 2018-19 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 11, 2019
Published: Feb. 11, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Please; take these trades as merely frameworks. I believe Kadri needs to be replaced with a defense first, lower cap hit 3C, Zaitsev p/contract needs to be gone, Ottawa not only needs about 13 mil next year just to get the cap floor and platers like Jensen (can be signed for a cap hit under 3m and Gudas are affordable and serviceable RHD to bridge to Liljegrin etc.

Detroit is rebuilding. Do you know why Jensen is on the market? He's too old for Hollands rebuild plan. Kadri is a good player but he is expensive and Detroit has some bad contracts they need to get rid of before they go and put that much money in to a 3rd line center behind Larkin and AA. Ken Holland already said he is looking for younger players, prospects and picks. Jensen and Glendening are available for trade and Kadri is a good player but he just doesn't fit in to Detroit's plans at this point. Plus Detroit being a year or 2 from the playoffs NO WAY he waives his NTC for Detroit.
