Blackhawks 2019 TDL Moves

Created by: WindyCityHockeyGuy
Team: 2018-19 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 13, 2019
Published: Feb. 13, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
What the Hawks would look like if I were running things this TDL. Of course the Seabrook trade may be wishful thinking but IF there is a trade out there for Seabrook I think it would have to be similar to this.
Trades
1.
CHI
  1. 2019 3rd round pick (CBJ)
CBJ
  1. Anisimov, Artem
  2. 2020 4th round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
It’s TDL day so it’s a sellers market. No salary retained for Chicago.
2.
CHI
  1. 2019 3rd round pick (TOR)
  2. 2019 4th round pick (TOR)
3.
CHI
  1. 2019 5th round pick (CGY)
CGY
  1. Kunitz, Chris
Additional Details:
Calgary gets some veteran presence for their playoffs run as it could be deep.
4.
CHI
  1. Eriksson, Loui
  2. 2019 4th round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
Chicago gets a D spot opened up for one of the kids coming next season like Boqvist. Seabrook would have to OK the trade but I think his hometown might be enough to get him to sign off on the deal. Ericksson can come in & hopefully find success playing with more skilled guys like Kane.
VAN
  1. Forsberg, Anton
  2. Seabrook, Brent
Additional Details:
Vancouver gets a hometown boy plus a leader and mentor for guys coming up like Hughes in their system. They also get Forsberg to give DiPietro a bit more time to develop properly.

How is Strome doing with the Hawks? I'm wondering because I don't get to watch him play. Is he living up to his potential?

That was a STEAL by the Hawks. He has 31 pts in 33 games with the Hawks after doing not much in only like 47 career NHL games with the Coyotes. Also was just recently named one of the NHL’s 3 stars of the week. smile

Yeah, he's doing great next to his old buddy Debrincat. almost a point per game player right now. Schmaltz is still a really good player it just is unfortunate for both Nickie and AZ because he got hurt.

I'm ok with trading away Forsling. I don't think he'll get that return though.

I think you can take advantage of the Leafs wanting to shore up the blue line this year and beyond at the trade deadline. Forsling may not get that but it’s a sellers market this year at the deadline so who knows.
