The Carolina deal seems a bit like an underpay. Carolina will most-likely want more. Maybe Reinhart instead of the forwards?

Barrie will make $6M and lol at MTL getting smaller. Even with these heavily discounted FA signings, EDM will not be able to afford to re-sign McJesus in two years. Maybe pass on adding Eriksson?

Don't like the Klefbom-Barrie trade. Kind of lateral. Klefbom is a solid stay at home puck moving Dman with size. He was our best dman before he got hurt. Since he would be making about $2-2.5 less than Barrie, I see him as just as valuable. Would love the idea of going after Barrie though. Maybe instead of Faulk.

All four trades are really slanted in Oilers favour. Do you really think Yakapov is worth a 1st rounder, especially 9th overall. Next year if he is with the Oilers, the Oilers probably don't even offer him a contract.
Canes best Dman, and possibly their best forward prospect for maybe the 3rd best Oiler centre or maybe 2nd....no thank you for Canes. Maybe the Hawks can't afford Shaw, but would they really want Fayne even at 2m

I don't see why Carolina would want to get rid of Faulk, doesn't make sense, they have no one even close to his ability and he is on a great contract. Faulk won't be traded this year, or in the next 3 years.

Barrie will be signing somewhere for between 6 to 6.5 million. Colorado's D is brutal, they need defensemen, so a trade of Pouliot+ (he is bonafide 1st/2nd line LW) for Vatanen+ (who is a young scoring 2nd pairing D, like Barrie, but can be signed for under 5 million) with Anaheim and then send Vatanen to Colorado + Fayne with salary retained + a prospect like Joey Laleggia (who was a top scoring NCAA Dman with Denver) and throw in a couple of high picks and there might be a deal there.

Klefbom is too good to move and on a very good contract, if you move him for Barrie, you are taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Reinhart and Nurse need to be in the AHL next year, they are not NHL ready next year.

Yakupov might yield a 3rd rounder, but nothing better than that.
