Description
Senyshyn is a reach to make the team, but he did score 45 goals in the OHL this year, so ya never know. I don't see them being able to add a dman like Shattenkirk, Trouba, etc. I just don't think the Blues, and Jets will desire a package of the Bruins young guys. Especially with the Oilers in the trade market for the same thing. An offer from the Oilers (4th overall + Hall or Eberle) would blow away any offer from the Bruins. Brodin will have to be the upgrade and hope Siedenberg returns to form, or C. Miller takes a big step forward.

Brodin would be your top pair, can play either side about equal.

why would MIN do that deal if Brodin is such a good defenseman? Spooner is not a top 6 forward so he won't fetch you a top 4 defenseman. Not on his own anyways.

There would have to be pick coming (1st) back to Wild.

I could see the Wild do the trade as a backup option to some bigger names. If anything Wild would get a good pick, and free some cap space.

I like Brodin as a Bruin, add a 1st round pick, play him shutdown first pair with Chara. Not sure what Brouwer will get, if it's that much I wouldn't want him. Rather overpay for Eriksson or Backes. Don't believe Senyshyn will be ready, even Heinen may be too optimistic.

CMN - I think you're underestimating Spooner a bit. Last year, in his first full season, he had 51 points as the #3 center. Not many 24 yr old centers available with that type of production. I don't think he's a super star, but nor do I think Brodin is either. I think they're both very good players, and Minny has a surplus of young D and need cap space, and could use a center. B's can replace Spooner with Vatrano, and need d, and have the cap space to take on a $4 mill contract in exchange for a $925k contract. This deal would free up $3 mill in cap space for Minny.

I agree that there will have to be a high pick coming over. It is going to be a seller's market if you have young D to move so it wouldn't surprise me if B's had to throw in one of their higher D prospects, too.
