Modern Day Merlot in MTL

Created by: Billy739
Team: 2018-19 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 14, 2019
Published: Feb. 14, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
with NSH adding a second fighter/hitter in Mcleod to help Watson keep opponents honest , other teams like NYI have relied on the physicality on Clutterbuck/Martin to create space for their teammate's to make plays .

it just seemed wise to give us a line that can go out and correct a team if the take a run at Domi who would be all to willing to fight but then we'd lose a scorer . this way if a fight needs to go down we got 2 guys to call on to settle it like other teams .

Nutivaara is being used as a bottom pair RD so i offered CBJ a RD prospect who's doing great as a rookie in his first Pro Year and Paul Byron someone to lead their PK and help them get more of a presence along the boards and behind the net .

then again these days trades 1 for 1 happen regardless of age gap based on needs . but i like this trade as CBJ needs RD depth which consists of Ryan Collins and Adam Clendenning of which Fleury is vastly better then both

I’m sorry, I do not see CBJ or Nutivaara on the trade list. My prescription is outdated, and my eyes need checked, but if I missed this please let me know.

I understand your idea, and agree with it to an extent, but i would personally not trade Byron (such a, wait for it, cap friendly deal) for Neal and would not touch Dion Phaneuf with a 10 foot pole.

i know its why it was a secondary option in the description and not actually the trade made .
i was all but sure it would take more so i went with something more probable .

i was hoping it would trigger suggestions on what CBJ wants for Nutivaara

Phaneuf is almost done with his contract or else i wouldnt .
Suzuki and Anderson-Dolan were fast together at world juniors is why i made the deal .
