Description
JUST THOUGHT OF THIS SO DONT BE ALL CRAZY WITH REPLIES.

VANCOUVER TRADE-
Pearson for Roussel - I dont care that Roussel is older with 4yr on contract at $3m per.
- Roussel is exactly what this soft team needs in line up.

DETROIT TRADE - ** I dont kno if enough for 3 rentals ....
but hearing Nyquist and Jensen could get 2nd rdrs for each ....
So gave a 1st and a "B-" prospect in Miletic. Then DeSmith for Howard equals out plus a lil retention.

- I love DeSmith and i think he is the better goalie and has a low cap hit and signed for 3yrs but with all the Murray injuries...
I just dont trust DeSmith coming in for a series and would feel a lot better with Ho-Jo, a Vet thats seen it all.

- Nyquist has always been an under rated talent in NHL ...
I think the dude is a bad MF and he is very skilled down low and would mesh with 87 and 59.

- Jensen is a good #4-5 RHD, just check out his analytics ... Plus this is a guy GMJR could resign on the cheap before FA starts after season.

yeah both these trades are awful.

I will admit though. If Murray gets hurt in the playoffs. I want to see Jarry in net.

Forget the Rousell trade and add Pearson into the redwings trade and put Cullen Blueger and Reese on the fourth line

Roussel is twice the player Pearson is .... Pearson now getting scratched is a waste here or just a bad fit ... the dude is Brassard 2.0
I would like to see Jarry to but u kno how Sully thinks Desmith is a NHL starting goalie.. smh

This season yeah, Pearson is in a slump, he’s a far superior player though

if Roussel was twice the player Pearson is, then why does he have 5 goals all year long?

Pearson has better numbers on almost every meaningful stat, the only difference is Roussel has a slightly better Corsi.
Pearson is historically the better player. He's the kind of depth player that is nice to have because he can score. He has a real shot.

If you think Pearson's career is done, what about Roussel, he had 5 goals total last year. He's only got 5 this year.

IDK but havnt seen Roussel get healthy scratched and get 5min per game when in.... I really thought we won that trade but now I hope ppl understand what Hags brought to this team and the only way we win trade now is if GMJR can re-trade him for something useful

Schultz wasn’t great his first year with us. Neither was Neal. Give Pearson some time. He could definitely be a 40-50 point guy for us

U could be right, He just makes me throw s**t evertime i see him loose puck battles and make bad turn overs.
I was at the EDM game and Pearson gave the puck to EDM and i looked over at SULLY and he turned to Reccs and said "hes done" ... lol, i just dont think he fits what Sully wants at all

Yes because who else will they put in. They already have their best prospects on the ice.
Not to mention all the other headaches he brings.
They guy has a NTC over the next 3 years, which means you are going to have to protect a historically 13 goal high scorer in the expansion draft. No thank you. He's not worth protecting.

I think the reason for Pearson's benching is the penguins do have decent to good young depth and they aren't using it.
Which is why Pearson sits. They put Blueger in his place to give him his shot. Which is deserved. It's not that his play has been all that bad. He's got 9 goals in 41 games. That's not bad for a 3rd liner.
I mean come on, the guy has 9 giveaways all year, and 11 take aways(41 games with pens). Lets not act like he's a turn over machine.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's played as well as he can. I could be injury it could be system. Who knowns. But he hasn't played awful. You can easily look at that roster they field and say Cullen should be the first one to hit the press box.

What happens when you need to give Angelo a shot? Who sits then? PH? Does he go over to the left side and then Blueger sits?
For someone who's playing well to come up, someone has to go. You can't hide the good young players down there forever. It's part of what has been dragging this team down.
