generally though you get 1 prospect and picks at the TDL for top Center taken something like Teasdale ,1st and a 2nd as by the time TDL hits there is to little time to integrate him into the squads chemistry which comes down negatively on the asking price as the trading team chose to waste time missing the climactic point to sell .

personally i'd rather get Duchene like VGK did Statsny , after someone else pays the price

I know Drouin has been dogging it the past couple games especially, but lets not overreact either. He's having a great season and is still only 23. He'll eventually get it. He still needs to mature a bit but the talent is there.

you can get duchene for free at free agency especially if u pay him 8.5 Mil

I don't know, you can't really improve heart on a player - I would trade him for a LHD while he has value.

We have centers coming up the farm - domi could move back to the wing. Either trade him for a right shot wing or a LHD.

Drouin was the entire heart of his Memorial Cup Team out Producing both Mckinnon and Ehlers sparking him to jump 15 spots to top 3 in the draft based of hiss heart .

the issue is his style relies on being able to make plays to his D which he can only half the time .
if Weber or Petry is shutdown then 100% guarantee that Drouin is .

that being said he was the victim of Domi and Shaw being reduced to 4th line players especially in Tampa .
Shaw and Domi produce maybe its time to raise Kotkanemi and Armia to 2nd with Drouin because come playoffs Domi cant be in the box as our #2 center and against TBL is a guarantee they have his number .

Domi and Shaw need to be demoted to remind them if they wont play top 6 hockey they wont get the job

Oh hey listen I'm not opposed to trading anyone on the Habs. but it has to be for the right reasons. Trading him for Duchene who we could potentially land in free agency IMO isn't it. A real good LHD? In a heartbeat.

Lately its been painfully obvious but try to remember the other games like against Winnipeg or against EDM. He may do one spectacular play for every 4 dumb play but he also does a lot of very nice plays that don't lead to anything because the players around him aren't on his level. let's hope CJ can get his dumb plays down to 1-2 only. I can live with a couple stupid plays as long as he does what he does because I can only take so much of the dump and chase or outwork your opponent type mentality. Eventually you need skill to break the game open. Drouin has some of that skill we desperately need. Unless we replace him with someone else who can bring that skill but with less mistakes, i don't see trading him for someone without vision but is responsible.

Id think nurse would make a nice acquisition - Drouin as got the talent to play with McDavid, and his cost is minimal - (5M)

So balance the trade with picks and/minor prospect and it could be a decent trade.

(Although EDM don't have the depth to trade a Dman)
