IMO Previous Oiler GMs have failed in rebuilding because they became too impatient and tried to speed up the process. I saw a post last week that Gretzky was doing the same stuff but I don't think that is the case. Ken Hitchcock came out a made a comment about the playoffs because The Oilers easily have enough talent to make the playoffs in the west. So the problem must coming from the locker room. Now moving players out maybe for less than they worth, I would its them trying to change the attitude in the locker room. I don't know if the playoffs are reachable this year but once we get into the offseason I think you will see that Edmonton isn't as far away as most of you think. but that's just my opinion and I think Gretzky and Hitchcock are going to be good together.
