No way in hell Marner accepts a 1 year $5 million deal. Reportedly he already said no to $8 million per. He wants Eichel money or close to it.

Midway through he can sign his extension, maybe it's a 1 year $6M but there would be an understanding that he gets his money after Marleau comes off the books.

Built it around what Tampa paid for McD last year, and sweetened it up to take Horton (now Zaitsev, did not think the canes would want to take on a D they don't need).
