This is really bad for Ottawa, and all around doesn't make much sense.

Hanzal - May never play again = No value
Pitlick - Bottom 6 forward = Little value
Nichushkin - Absolute bust = No value
Honka - Not a bust yet, but can’t crack the NHL roster = Very little value

Even with Ryan going back to Dallas, this is an awful deal for Ottawa. They get no players of value and no prospects of value. The only valuable return for them is the guaranteed 2019 1st Round Pick. The 2019 2nd isn’t even guaranteed for them. No chance this deal would work.
