Idk its still pretty decent, Iv been working off actual value from pick to pick and besides pick 1-20 there is not a huge amount of value difference between picks 21-70.

For example its not uncommon to see trades where.

Team A trades: Pick 25

Team B trades: Pick 40,68

Obviously when you think of the Draft classes it changes Both 2019 and 2020 project to be very deep drafts. I dont hate this trade for DET

SJS has no access to first round picks unless they want to trade their 2021 First. Hence they gave up 2 2nds id rather give up 1 first than 2 2nds

IMO nyqvist is overrated, only hit 50 points once in his career. solid value but it isnt a crazy steal or anything considering zucc got the same thing.

How much of nyquist have you watched? In my opinion he's pretty underrated. He has made the best of what he had around him. We havent been very good, and he's been one of the best players on our team. Hes a very good passer, no stranger to scoring, skates well - not the fastest guy, but hes fairly agile and has good vision. He's not elite, but he's a very good all around playmaker that doesnt get enough credit for what he does playing on our garbage team lol

But they didn't give up 2 2nds... they gave up a 2nd and a 3rd. It only becomes 2 2nds if they make the cup final (which is very possible) or they re-sign Nyquist (which is unlikely given their cap constraints). It's a great move for SJ and just further proof that we the public generally over value the forward rental markets (or more so the winger market) outside of the elite rentals you generally don't see them garner a 1st round pick.

I completely agree, maybe he breaks out on a good team but I think people have this misconception on the player Nyquist is (at least point wise) still a great player but the points he had been putting up doesnt warrent a crazy deadline return. Wouldve liked to have him in Boston
