I dont know what creator of this meant.. just saying that no kid should died as an answer to his post title. And you probably know that QMJHL 18yr old kid called Alec Reid died due to epilepsy today. I dont know if there is any connection that creator meant or not tho.

why was a kid with epilepsy playing a sport known for concussions aka head trauma?

That makes 0 sense to me at all. People with epilepsy are usually told to avoid contact sports. You don't want any more neurological trauma then you already have going on.
Hope his playing wasn't the trigger for this.
