Description

Just for fun, can you imagine the Leafs going absolutley all in but not having Marleau's contract? Cap is at 84 but it will probably be 83 next year, but who knows. Hayden is the grit that we needed as he has the most hits on the Blackhawks this season. I can see Ennis on the second line only because he is playing with two great players.

As a Bruins fan, nothing would make me happier. He isn't worth the 11m now let alone in 8 years.
Also - don't get the values -Pietrangelo > Doughty

You are giving up 14 individual assets to get 5 in return. That's a lot of future depth traded away.

He is good, but: A) he is not worth 11m a year. He is not. B) 8 YEARS at 11m. He is 29. It's already ugly but that will kill your cap in 2-3 years. He is already starting to decline. C) Guys that get paid and fall off as hard as he has scare me. I know LA is not very good, but Muzzin and Martinez managed to be + players and not be a -28 with really really ugly advanced stats D) He was probably the best dman in the league for a 3-5 year stretch or at least top 5 so there is a long way to fall, but he is falling. I'd call him top 15 at this point and in another couple years when he is top 30 and getting paid 11m it's going to be ugly.
