    Montreal has a lot of cap space, they would rather keep Alzner or even buy him out. And I don't even think the wings can afford his contract, no? ahah
    And Winnipeg would probably look for more for Trouba, especially with an extension.

    MTL jumps on that deal. They get a great puck moving defensemen AND get rid of Alzner's terrible contract all for a 2nd? DET should be asking for a 1st or a couple 2nds.

    A rebuilding team (Wings) should never give up so many futures for an RFA. Wings should just wait till summer 2020 and sign Trouba, and if doesn't sign well you got that 7m to spend on other players. 8.5m for Trouba? What, a hometown premium.

    I always know it's s bad deal (Nielesn) when the reason for the trade is mentoring.

    Not enough for Trouba with an extension, And it's been reported that Nielsen has no desire to return to the Islanders. And fat chance of Green going to Montreal no way he waives to go there.
