Montreal Canadiens signed Josh Anderson (7 Years / $5,500,000 AAV)
Risky AF. Bridge deal wasnt possible so 4-5years was probably the safe option. Hope it works out, and then his contract might look very good over time, with cap increase. But no garantee. Crossing fingers

(MTL/CBJ) - Domi + 2020 3rd round pick for Anderson
The demand was high for Andersson. MB really wanted him I guess, and overpaid with the 3rd round pick. It's not as bad as people make it look, Andersson is exactly the type of winger the habs needed. Big and reliable defensively, will be useful for the development of Suzuki and Caufield! And Domi wanted to play C, but aint no spot avaible there for him currently.
Columbus wins this trade atm, since they get the most talented player. But seems like a good trade overall.

New GM Scenario Year 1 of 2 Core Change
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLSage</b></div><div>Bergevin is the most incompetent GM in the entire NHL and needs to be replaced for the team to get on with the proper rebuild.</div></div>
This is just false. Bergevin has a very good trade record and did a good job rebuilding as of now. He's sticking with the plan of getting younger, firing him wouldnt make sens.

The only way Price leaves MTL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Howyoudrouinnn</b></div><div>but couldn't they trade him to Seattle?</div></div>
Only if Price wants it. He can't be traded unless Price himself decides to waive his NTC.

Price has a full NMC. He is automatically protected for the expansion draft.

Calgary Flames signed Rasmus Andersson (6 Years / $4,550,000 AAV)
You can't be wrong signing a 23yo dman entering his prime, but 6years and only 4.55M per year is a crazy good deal for the Flames.

Sellers at the TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>harrisonwright19</b></div><div>2nd for kovalchuk??????????? at best you get a mid rd, and i dont think tatar gets that and also dont think edmonton will be buyers</div></div>
Yes a 2nd might seem too much now, but as I said, we'll need to see how Kovy produces. Could be a 3rd too. But at the TDL, he's the type of player a team will overpay to add depth.
And remember that Vegas paid a 1st+2nd+3rd 2years ago at the TDL. Since then with the habs, Tatar got a career high season and is on pace for a 70pts season. He is probably worth more than a 1st and a 2nd tbh. I thought Edmonton was a great fit but there's many teams that could make this deal too.

Sellers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Daredevil514</b></div><div>Im not some mega expert but I watch every single game of the Habs and I can tell you that Petry is good, remarquable skater, good shot, good first pass and the ability to support on offense, BUT he also showed a looot of inconstancy over the years, his decision making in defensive zone and on the PP are terrible wich is why he isnt elite. If I, a normal hockey fan can see that, it means every scout also does! Like I said, good defensman but not worth 3 good draft Pick and a roster player, especially given the fact that he's 32 with only one year left at a good price, he ask a raide and a long terme contract after this one, wich isnt super attractive for others GM.
2x2nd and an ok prospect or a 1st and a 3rd would be fair on my opinion.</div></div>
Yea I get you. The returns you mentioned are probably more fair. But I kinda took in consideration the fact that GMs tend to overpay a bit at the TDL, especially for a top 4 RHD. And I consider Nick Holden a cap dumb and not a roster player but I agree with all you said!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Daredevil514</b></div><div>Im a habs fan and you are overestimate our players... Yes Petry had one hell of a season last year but beside a decent production, he plays very bad this year! He's also 32 in search of a big final contract for the rest of his career, I think he will fetch a good return but not like that! Not sure about the Tatar on either but maybe we can get that much, just not with Caroline. As for thompson maybe a 4th alone would be fair</div></div>
I think you might be underestimating a bit Petry and Tatar. Petry is still a very valuable dman and can help any team in the playoffs. With the salary retention, he is easily worth a 1st+2nd+3rd.
Tatar is currently MTL's best producer, on pace for a 68pts season and just 29yo. Remember that Vegas traded a 1st+2nd+3rd for Tatar when he had only 28pts in 62games. I think Tatar is worth a 1st and a prospect from a contender at the TDL.

2020 Post WJC mock
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CD282</b></div><div>How did the WJC affect the rankings, in your opinion?</div></div>
So tbh, it didn't really affect my rankings. The title is just so I can tell when I made this mock.
But for me, the WJC showed two things : Lafrenière is the clear 1st overall and Drysdale being the clear best dman of the draft, he should go in the top 5.
Oh, and Askarov didn't show me he should be in the top 5, even top 10. I know he is very young and this is a hard tournament for a 17yo goalie, but still, Im not a fan of drafting a goaltender that high.
