I think that may be close value wise but I don't think it makes sense for either team does it?

Rangers have made it clear this summer they want to improve and start adding pieces. They need a Dman like Spurgeon bad especially if they can extend him. As for MIN it makes sense if they want to continue shuffling the deck and retooling a bit.

I'd even add Fast and another 2nd or something like that if i'm Jeff Gorton

Spurgeon is a 29 year old first pair dman with 1 year left on his deal. Rangers are a rebuilding team with a top 10 pick. They're not moving that pick for him

Im a ranger fan and I like the Spurgeon trade, I think it fits both sides. They're pretty fair returns
