Don't make the Toronto trade and this team is much better off. I think you have to keep OEL and Hjalmarsson together, and put Karlsson with Chychrun. Swap Keller with Dvorak. I don't think re-signing Panik is necessary if you're going to put Hinostroza on line 4.

I agree with everything except Leafs part. Zaitsev is better than Demers. Maybe keep Oesterle who has been really good and trade Demers for Zaitsev which is fair trade.

Doesn't matter that Zaitsev 'might' be better than Demers, he's still more valuable to Arizona than he would be in any trade. Plus, he's shown that he can play with OEL from time to time if he needs to.

Overall, the Yotes have a good defense right now and yes EK would be a nice add, he's not the ideal guy I'd love for them to go after in free agency (they've also spent lots of picks over the past couple of years on defensive prospects). No reason to trade Stepan as well, he's exactly what Arizona needs and Schmaltz isn't a great center.
