You must be joking, not only would I not give that up for quinn hughes, but colorado has 2 better d prospects not to mention girard and barrie.

Why though? COL has Makar already who is better than Q Hughes anyway. We're better off using Barrie to get a forward and keeping jost + 1st

It's a pointless trade, but Hughes definitely has more value than Makar. He's arguably the #1 team-affiliated prospect in all of hockey right now.

I would disagree with that. Makar is consistently ranked higher than Hughes on NHL-affiliated prospect rankings and even reached #1 overall (http://www.espn.com/nhl/insider/story/_/id/26142330/top-50-nhl-prospects-ranking-best-young-players-hockey)

I agree, Quinn Hughes is a savage but Cale Makar is putting up better prospect numbers as of now. Trading Makar for Quinn would still make sense if I'm drafting Jack.
