The Rangers counter by removing Zaitsev and both the picks.

No chance I'd trade one of our better young players for a POS like Deangelo, dubas also seems like the kind of gm that takes a persons off ice likability into account

Everyone read each others comments. 2 people say there is no way Toronto would do it, and one says wow for suggesting it. 2 say there is no way NYR would do it, one of which says I'm basically crazy for suggesting it. Perhaps it is fair if this is the communities reaction?

And if neither side is happy then how is it fair?

Both players are similar age, both are strong skaters, both have their downsides and both are RFAs. Although I will agree there is slightly more value to Kapanen that value doesn't merit the Rangers taking on a bad contract and losing a 2nd. Fair value would be closer to DeAngelo and a 2nd for Kapanen and a 4th.

I am certainly not hurt, didn't mean to come across that way.

Because often the fairest trades leave both sides unhappy or happy. Trades are unfair where one side wins.

I agree, the trade honestly isn't bad value wise. Deangelo just isn't the type of person worthy of playing in the NHL. Good at hockey but a POS person.
