Simon is the incentive for them to do the trade? Really? Did you forget you put kessel in that deal?underpayment for all those assets being acquired from the pens.

I agree that Maatta is definitely worth more than Grabner and this lacks value for the Pens.
I'm still not convinced that Kessel doesn't do everything in his power to prevent a deal. His M-NTC makes that possible.

I don't like the kessel trade, I hate the vegas trade.

Gudbranson has done everything asked of him and played well.

Still not sold on Gudbranson and I hate his contract. I'd move him in the right deal. I think his contract is going to be very difficult to move though. We'll see how good he is in a couple weeks here.

you hate his contract.
Tell me do you hate it more than players getting run and injured. Seems like a lot of the BS stopped pretty quickly when he got on the ice. I'm sure that's just random.

Arizona trade isn't very good but I could see maybe possibly happening with some adjustments.

Vegas trade, just no, that is awful.

Geno was injured on Gudbranson's watch. Just facts.

Why are you talking about Evander Kane?
Gudbranson has done well in a limited sample size. So did Pearson.

why do you ignore what happens on the ice?
When wilson went after the penguins 39 goal winger who put him in a head lock and dropped him to the ice?

You don't like his contract. The whole penguins organization doesn't like their players getting run. That's why he's here, that's why he's not going anywhere until there is someone else here who can fill that role. Listed above there is no one.

He's not going anywhere because the contract can't be moved.

while the contract isn't great, its not even close to immovable. There are a few in the league that are immovable(i.e Lucic) but Gudbranson isn't one. Gudbranson is overpaid but he has actually been good on the ice.

this, on top of some team will always be willing to pay to protect it's star players. Until this league cleans up the bush league crap that goes on you can just count on that.
That's how Lucic ends up with 6 million a year contracts. Because they damn well knew the abuse he'd take.
