Help for Left D - trades with CBJ and CALG

Description
Based on some feedback i added a few extra pieces leaving Montreal - an extra prospect to Calgary and a roster player to Columbus

I think these are realistic possibilities:

Flames have an excess of solid defensemen, and several young ones pushing for more ice time (Valimaki, Andersson, Kylington) and looking solid. Brodie could be the odd man out, as Treliving needs cap space for his RFA's in Bennett and Tkachuk. I'm thinking the price for an established top 4 guy would be reasonable.

Nutivaara from Columbus also makes some sense. He and Brodie are both left shots but often play right side on their team depth charts. Again the price may be reasonable for Montreal but will add experienced depth to their left side D while Mete and Romanov mature.

Assume Poehling is a regular next year, and Brook gets 10-15 games in NHL. Suzuki, Romanov and perhaps Ylonen arrive in fall 2020.

Habs select either Lavoie, Kaliyev or Newhook at #15 in the draft.

What do you think is fair? Remember this is essentially for 1 year of TJ Brodie. Calgary will likely not want any significant salary coming back.

I added some extra pieces: Brodie + 4th for Ylonen + Fleury + Deslauriers + 2nd.
Same for Columbus: Nutivara + 4th for Lekhonen + Juulsen + Hudon + 3rd

Still think it's way off ? Calgary will not want roster players with any salary back.

Columbus declines.... Murray is good but injury prone and having nuttivara is a insurance for us.

Montreal accept both trades. I don't think they want to trade Juulsen, but if we could get a young established defender in a trade for him, I think they are game

I added a good roster player (Lekhonen) to the Columbus trade. Doesn't score a lot but excellent defensive forward, Tortorella will love him. Does that seem closer?

You're probably right. I added an extra piece to each trade, does that look closer to reality ?

The idea with Calgary is that they will not want any roster player with significant salary back. They need all that cash to sign RFA's this summer.

Maybe.... I honestly don’t think we can afford to move Nuttivarra right now unless we can get something the could be a 3rd pair/2nd pair LHD to replace him.

Good point, thanks for the feedback. Columbus is going to have a busy summer it seems, hope it works out. Good luck in the playoffs, who knows maybe Tampa will stumble.
