you can't trade a player you signed for 45 or 90 days I can't remember, also I think something to do with RFA sheet, he can't be traded for over a year.

you do since he would be signed after the draft (only time you can offer sheet, so all 2019 picks go to 2020 and all 2020 picks go to 2021)

The Offer Sheet engine should automatically take that into account, appears there is a bug and will be investigated

The club that receives an Offer Sheet has 7 days to match the offer or accept the draft pick compensation:
- If the receiving club accepts the Offer Sheet, they receive the compensation package which coincides with the annual average value of the offer made from the submitting club
- If the receiving club matches the Offer Sheet, they are bound to the contract details outlined in the offer, and must respect all aspects of the contract
- If the receiving club matches the Offer Sheet, they cannot trade that player for 1 year from the date of first refusal

If NJ successfully signs Point away from TB, I don't think there's any limitation on trading him to a third team. If there is, CapFriendly's FAQ doesn't say so.

If TB matches the offersheet, they cannot trade Point for a year.
csick and timmeejr liked this.

Except he trades Point to Minnesota for their 2019 first and then trades that pick to Detroit for their 2019 first. So this is literally impossible to do.
