I like Zaitsev when in the right role and with the right partner. I think that San Jose has both of those.

Pavelski is a mainstay but you aren't keeping him for $4M / 1 year...

I think you can stack the lines however you want, but if you don't address the goaltending issue Jumbo's never getting a cup.

Also: there's no way in hell Pavs takes that deal, Melker is worth more than that, given this last year it's extremely unlikely that Donskoi re-signs with the Sharks, Timo and Labanc are both getting contracts for at least a million more each, and with the greatest of respect - eff that Carolina deal. We don't need Fleury when Simek already has proven chemistry with Burns and comes at half the price tag.

I actually like the idea of Brown, but if you think he'd be taking Labanc's spot on the 3rd line you're cracked.

I'm genuinely curious to know you think he's worth? I'm not able to see him without some serious teal colored glasses :P

Plus we already know he has chemistry with Vlasic.
