With Patrick/Frost in the future at 2/3C I’m not super interested in Kadri

Hartman serves his role and our scouts do well in latter rounds.

I disagree that Nylander won’t be traded - as a given.

If Leafs fail to get past Boston again, they will need to reassess strategy of skill and speed alone and balance on the team. If they decide to adjust, they will need room they don’t have and Nylander - after this year - seems the most likely candidate to move (aka - only big contract without a NTC).

Doesn’t mean he will be traded - but this is a decent plan if they do. Brassard seems like a downgrade from Kadri but less likely to be suspended in the playoffs. Not usre how Hagelin is better than Brown.

Agree that the Philly trade doesn’t fit for them but Kadri is a valuable player and a 2C with most teams. If he was on the market there would be teams willing to pull the trigger for lesser assets.

Are you nuts? Brown is the better player and both teams are in cap trouble. 3rd comes back to Toronto if that ever happened.
