Penguins in my opinion are in a really really bad spot. Kessel isn’t getting that from the ducks. He will not get the value back that the pens need right now. Hornqvist has two more years of a ntc and even if he does waive it, you are not getting a decent player back for him. He is showing his age badly. Also Matta won’t get you much value either along side players like Johnson, Gudbranson, Bjugstad, etc. gmjr bet the farm on this roster and got obliterated. I so how gmjr takes this team and turns it into a cup winner moving forward.

this is one salty hawks fan.
If you think Gudbranson has no trade value from how he's played in Pittsburgh you are kidding yourself.
Your bitterness really shows when you think Jugs has no trade value. That's just laughable.

Kessel is 32 if Kessel at 28 couldnt even net that good of a return then this much worse version of Phil sure as **** wont. Ducks are rebuilding they dont need another aging forward on the cap for 4+ years that prevents an actual rebuild.

There are only 2 teams that Kessel would really make sense on, Carolina, and AZ.

Kessel is coming off career years his games has improved in Pittsburgh, there will be a market for a premier player and power play specialist

Bjugstad? The one who has been invisible all year? Not saying he has no value. I’m saying he won’t get much back. That 14 goal 12 assist year for him isn’t really screaming huge return my dude

No it really hasnt he is a powerplay specialist now who is a liability at even strength he was one of the worst forwards in the league when it came to 5 on 5 play and a big reason Pit lead the league in shorthanded goals. He cant score like he used to and is a net negative now when it comes to scoring chances produced vs the scoring chances he creates for the opposition.

You are such an idiot it is unreal. You may as well talk about how Jack Johnson could net a first rounder

Honestly I don’t think Carolina even makes sense for him. They need a true #1 C first and foremost. I think giving up depth or picks for Kessel would actually hurt the team overall. Arizona tho I agree he would help them considering they don’t have really anything to be proud of offensively

He can’t score like he used to? He’s always been between 25-35 goals and scored 27 this year. In four years with Pittsburgh, that’s his second highest total. It’s his 6th highest total in his career. Hardly lacking in the scoring department. Especially considering he is still averaging a ppg in a “down” year where the team mostly struggled.
