Team: 2019-20 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 24, 2019
Published: Apr. 24, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Move out: Kadri, Zaitsev, Marleau, Brown, Holl, and Bracco

Bring in: Haula, Pesce, Braun

This keeps under the cap while improving the D and arguably improving the forward lines. Marleau is addition by subtraction and I actually think if Haula bounced back he could be better than Naz

The sharks trade is interesting. But I think they would like the cap space if they move Braun.

Definitely.. But if Holl and Marleau both play, that is one less spot that needs to be filled for the Sharks. So technically they kinda do save a tiny bit of cap space.

Sam Reinhart had similar numbers and signed for almost $1 mil more. This mystical "bridge world" and Leafs fans "Kap is the GOAT" world seem like they're universes apart...

P.S. How is this "under the cap" when you're up against the ceiling with only 20 players?

Reinhart was 3 seasons in, Kap is a rookie. Way less ground to stand on

I'm just always surprised on here to see Leafs fans go on about how Kap is amazing and then all of the sudden he's worth peanuts? Good luck friends!

I see your point, but as an rookie RFA you don't have the same leverage as someone who has proven quality through multiple seasons. Perhaps I low-balled by a couple hundred K, but I assure you if its more, it won't be a lot more
