What is the source on Marleau staying? Read some roumors on him being moved out west with retention..

I doubt Marleau goes anywhere. If he's set to retire, then I can see the Leafs moving him as he has a 1M salary and a 6.25M cap hit that will not go away should he retire. He could also be bought out by another team looking to get to the cap floor, as a buy out would cost ~425k but again a 6.25M cap hit. Barring any of the above situations, he'll be a leaf next season sadly.

IMO Marleau retires. He's going to think about it. but he must know that the Leafs aren't going to get him his Cup, especially if stays on the team. He might not all the training, travelling just ain't worth it any more.

No team takes Marleau contract because they "need to get to the cap floor". (that term should be banned) They take his contract, with a sweetener because they have space between the minimum and the maximum cap.
