Worth noting that the cap will be 83, and bob mckenzie says Mcavoy will sign a bridge deal. That’s enough room for mojo.

Oi Cow,
Doubt Backes ends in OTT! (I can see teams (in no order) such as: BOS, STL, PHI, NYR, MIN, CHI, ANA, LA...)

However, on Mo-Jo - you're capping at 2018-19 levels ($79.5M)!?!
In 2019-20, the Cap should be US$83M or 83.5M+, so how does MJ look with that Cap $-level? Sign-able probably?

Moreover, if the B's exit in round-2 to CBJ...I think there will be more changes unfortunately. They'll likely strip some of the older-core pieces and use the current playoff 'style-of-play' as a mould toward the future roster...?

Backes has a Modified NTC where he can basically pick where he's going. He has to waive for 8 teams, but unfortunately I don't see any way in hell he'd be waiving to go to Ottawa. They stink right now and it's Canada. For an American forward Canada is a less attractive place to play most of the time, especially in this case because Ottawa is so terrible and their Owner seems to be a moron who's also somehow an egomaniac.

Made some changes after doing some more research. What do you think about this team now?

2 years is very player friendly for Mcavoy so I would guess that gets him around 3.5. The fact that he’s a group one rfa is very important

Why would you want to keep Mojo? He really hasn't been that good at all for the Bruins and he'll cost over 4M per year. To me, he's like a slightly more offensive Heinen and personally I'm not paying 4-5M for that. Heinen will probably sign for around half that amount. I'd rather just go with guys like Bjork, Kuhlman and Cehlarik to see if they develop. If none of them pop you can bring in someone at the deadline which most playoff teams do anyways.

Like the changes yeah, and you've left Cap for additions next spring...

Perhaps M. Joh can be a little less but you're in the ballpark of US$4-5M? As I and others have posted, I'm not sold on MJ (he's skilled yup but can disappear or float out there ala T. Kaberle-style). This playoff will tell if he's worth signing plain-and-simple or if J. Stud/other pups get the trip to the "Show".

I'd lock up Chucky more long-term too (7-8y at US$6-8M)?...

If so, that means your Cap-Crunch is back?? (so, squeeze Carlo down to $4M per(?), reduce Heinen to $2.75M per(?), offer M.Joh $4-5M tops. And maybe 'Killer Miller' needs a new address......and Vaak or Clifton gets his vacated spot)?
