Datsyuk isn't coming back and if he did come back he might get around 20 points. The talk of him making a return is just his agent trying to get as much money can for his client.

I won't argue one way or the other. I don't really want him to come back. I was just testing out lines to see what they might look like if he were around. I wouldn't mind him on the 3rd line with two young guns in Svechnikov & Zadina though.

If you look at Datsyuk's stats his last 3 seasons for St. Petersburg SKA and compare it to Kovalchuk's stats his last 3 seasons 2 with Datsyuk in St. Petersburg and one in the NHL.Their 2 seasons together in the KHL Kovalchuk had around double the points that Datsyuk had. Kovalchuk had 34 points this year in the NHL so Datsyuk would be looking at around 20 points.

I heard he is coming to town but for what I don't know. Maybe Datsyuk is coming back to Detroit for a job scouting in Russia. The same year Holland retired from playing he went right in to scouting for The Wings.
