i like the Honka for Ho-Sang trade.

also i don’t think Dickinson will get that much, i’d say take 2 off of his number and put 1.5-2 onto Zucc

I agree now that I see this is his first good season in the NHL.

As a DAL fan I like the NYI trade.

Some things I'd change though...
- Wouldn't sign Dickinson, Spezza or Janmark to that big contracts. Spezza is worth $1,5M for 1 year, I think there's been a report that he just want to play in DAL for a year or two before quitting, money doesn't really matter, and Janmark hasn't been any good and he's around the same value. At the maximum I'd do a qualifying offer for him $2,3M. I'd just trade him rather than sign him at this point.
I'd also sign Dickinson to a 2 or 3 year contract, cap hit around $2,5M. He hasn't showed yet that he's worth a $3M+ contract, although he's been good in these playoffs.
- Johns is LTIR bound. No one knows whether he's ever able to play hockey again. 0 games this year.
- I'd adjust the lines. I'd also put Gurianov in the lineup.

Obviously DAL is gonna like the NYI trade but as an isles fan I don’t like it.
It’s not that the value isn’t fair because it is but we just have way too many defensemen under contract for Honka to be able to succeed. For him to reach his potential I think Honka would have to go to a place like Florida or Ottawa. I do think Ho-Sang would be good in Dallas though.

Gurianov debuted in NHL this year. I'd give him a chance in NHL. Who knows whether he pulls a new Hintz in the team if we just give him a chance?

And Johns has been suffering from a post-traumatic headaches for over a year now, hence he has been declared as not fit to play. Head injuries are tad fickle. No one knows whether he'll get better or not, unfortunately.

your a Stars fan I assume, as a NYR I would love to see 1 if not 2 of your firsts come our way. what do you think about the possibility of that and your overall thoughts?

Yes, I'm a Stars fan. And to be honest, I don't really mind us giving up those conditional 1st rounders if we are constantly this successful. Zucc has been great, certainly worth a first.

But it's a bit early to say that we're moving two firsts. The game 7 tomorrow is going to be a big one for both Stars, and why not Rangers fans as well. DAL wins, and they get to WCF and NYR gets a first rounder.
