and theres no chance Trouba takes that contract, he doesn't want to sign long term with a Canadian team.

it was last year with Winnipeg,I remember that he refused a long term contract from them due to the fact that he wanted to play in the US so his dad could go to his home games after not being allowed into canada.

I don't know if there was anything official, but it was something I remember reading last year. If you don't believe me, you can look it up.

The only thing I could find was this conjecture by Ken Campbell. Nothing substantial, "from what I can gather."
