2021 conditional 1st or 2nd: "If the Sharks re-sign Karlsson the Senators receive a conditional second-round pick in 2021 which would become a first-round pick if the Sharks make it to the Stanley Cup Final in 2019."

Do the Sharks have to resign Karlsson first or will the Sens get the 1st rounder regardless?

OTT only gets a pick if Karlsson signs with SJS - whether that pick is a 1st rounder or a 2nd rounder depends on if SJS makes the finals
