Montreal might be able to trade less to get those two players, but getting Perrault for two years and Kulivov from a year seems like a good idea for Montreal.

helping ok, but your trade proposal is a steal...
Kulikov=negative value
Mathieu Perreault=3rd pick
So Peca=Kulikov
but Lehkonen > Kulak > Perreault

Perreault is passed his prime and not the 50 point player he once was. Kulikov is a decent but nothing special player. Habs get no upgrade here.

Lehkonen is 23 and getting better and Kulak is coming off a great breakout year. Peca has very little value so he is the toss in.

Habs aren't getting much better, if at all, for the extra money they are spending. This would be an easy decline from the Habs.

I think you would have to sweeten the Montreal side, quite a bit. Like a lot.

Also, I fail to see the obsession with getting way younger... Winnipeg was already the youngest team to make the playoffs this year. Youth is definitely important, don't get me wrong... but there's plenty of it on the current roster. If I'm Winnipeg, I'm looking for players in that 24-28 year range; right in their prime. Because, this team is ready to take a next step... and not go back to 2016.
