I couldn't justify 9th in Norris our Best Prospect in Kyrou for a 31 Year Old, man that makes our Center Core even more redundant than it is.

I understand your reasoning on Petro being great and Giroux being 31 but you can never be too deep at center.

Out of curiosity, where did the 9th place Norris come from? I haven't seen a ranking list which made that an interesting argument.

Me and Beastmode don't agree on much but I agree with him here.

That's limiting Thomas's Sundqvist's and Barbashev's minutes.

Someone else told me that and he was a statistically credible guy so I just went with it.

Fair enough. No arguments on Petri being a top-end dman.

Thomas is still on the second line... and Barbashev and Sundqvist are great bottom 6 players and killers.. idk how their playing time is a concern.

Blues need help on the PP, Tarasenko is not a power play scoring style of player. Giroux and Faulk greatly improve the PP as well as the depth of the team in general.

For the record, I like the Faulk deal. I don't think he's valued as highly as people think so Carolina would be willing to take on Allen's salary and give him a shot if he's packaged with Schenn. Is Faulk enough to rejuvenate the PP? I like Dunn as a QB as well. PP has a lot to do with coaching as well, that may be an issue.

Blues need someone who can play the point and take a one timer.. currently they have no one who can do that consistently I think Faulk covers both of those issues.

So why feel compelled to do the Giroux deal if he can solve these issues?

There's other ways a PP could be effective as well. But I agree that having a guy like Faulk can really help it out having him as a constant shot threat.

Because I wanted to move Petro as well just to see how the team would look. Giroux might be a stretch but if we can land Faulk I think moving Petro might be ideal. All probably unlikely but just trying to change the landscape of the team without sacrificing depth that the Blues have.

He was indeed 9th in the voting last year.
