Lucic can still play rugged hockey and is reasonable defensively, I don't trade him for Eriksson. If Loui ain't scoring, he ain't nothing.

I am of the same opinion. Eriksson isn't willing to put his body on the line for his team. He has 21 hits over 3 seasons, Lucic has 715. I dare say the physical presence of Lucic is worth a whole lot more than 5-10 more points per season (and that's if Lucic' 20p will be the precedent going forward, over 3 seasons Lucic is clearly ahead in total)

I don't like the lines either. RNH won't push the river alone. He will need real wingers to be a winning/drawing line. Nylander could help that immensely

It's a 3rd pairing D for a 3rd pairing D at half the cost. Big deal.

Miller put up 40 and 30 points the last two years.. That puts him in the top 50 in the league (top 30 if he can get back over 40). That is a top pairing defenseman on alot of teams.

Look at his usage, he's 3rd pairing guy who gets PP time (Benning doesn't). He gets caved when playing against the oppositions top-6, so his coaches are careful to keep him off the ice unless the other team's pluggers are out.
