Yeah but tampa always seems to find a way to get players cheaper, plus this is only a 5 yr deal takes him to age 29, where he can get the max. I'm unsure though

Tampa can't get Karlsson for 8. Any team other than San Jose can only sign him for 7 years - and also, dude, even with the super sweet tax rate for Florida, I can't see him signing for 8.5.

No he won't. If he wants that much he'll get shipped out. No sane Front Office that wants his team to compete can think of inking a goalie for that much, as they are the most inconsistent players.
He'll get something in the Helle-Gibson ballpark

Vasy is one of TB's most important players. Vezina-tier goalie. There's absolutely no way he'll just get shipped out.
