Yeah but tampa always seems to find a way to get players cheaper, plus this is only a 5 yr deal takes him to age 29, where he can get the max. I'm unsure though

What is the cost to move Backes
I doubt it would cost Heinen, maybe a 2nd and 3rd rounder?... only 2 years left on deal

Where did he say he wouldn't sign long term, and with carlo, I think I'm a little on the low end (I'll edit to 4), but defensive defensemen don't make a lot of money. Check out the article from the athletic (3 free articles if you get the app) <a href="https://theathletic.com/865378/2019/03/13/brandon-carlo-is-the-most-boring-defenseman-in-the-league-and-thats-a-good-thing/" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">https://theathletic.com/865378/2019/03/13/brandon-carlo-is-the-most-boring-defenseman-in-the-league-and-thats-a-good-thing/</a>
It says the max he'll probably is probably "$4 million with term"

With Studddddd
So many things wrong with this... Heinen has been one of the bruins' best players this playoffs, yet we scratch him?
Also even if Studnicka came up, which he won't, coyle would stay at center and studnicka would move to the wing. Coyle has practice being an NHL center and being defensively responsible, which isn't the case for Stud. Also, backes and wagner is a terrible idea. Wagner's lower body injury has clearly slowed him, and backes just isn't good enough to take the place of nordstrom or acciari.
Also I'm unsure, but does anyone know whether calling him up would make him eligible for the expansion draft?

Bruins 2019-2020- thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ON3M4N</b></div><div>I don't think that JFK is actually that far off. Anything from $925k to $1.2 isn't crazy.</div></div>
Also what do you think is a good spot for studnicka? I think he's the total package (size, speed, skill, vision, solid shot, compete- I can't find a significant hole in his game). Is it too much to put him on the 2nd line? I figured he would be better served in a spot to better utilize his skill, and I thought it would be good for his growth. I think he definitely makes the team though.

Yeah I know it was a little much, but I figured that he'd want a decent increase from his ELC. It's an interesting situation, a player with promise who's burned his whole ELC without really much time to prove himself (beside his 20 some games in boston this year with a almost purely youth line or with backes). I wasn't really sure what would make sense.
Also I'm trying to think of a good spot for backes- I figure he will want to go somewhere- not sure though. Next year he likely won't have a place in the lineup at all and I wouldn't be surprised if he retired or went on LTIR if that's possible. He's a very competitive player and I don't believe he would tolerate not playing at all.
Also, about miller, I feel like a 2nd, or 3rd plus fourth would be a fair price. He's a solid 3rd to 2nd pairing defensman with a full year left. Look at what the capitals gave for Nick Jensen. Is the price not reasonable?

I doubt point takes 8x8, it should be 10.5+ but I imagine the florida tax benefits will bring it down to around 9-9.5 mil per year.

They both have modified NTC (backes becomes modified NTC from NMC this offseason) so there's a chance
And the krug trade is just an idea to clear up cap, he doesn't have to go to the oilers it could be anywhere
