Can we stop signing rfas to deals that bring them right to ufa without buying out any ufa years? It’s literally never happened off an elc in the history of the cap era.

That said, pretty fair trade. For that price tag, I would prefer Simmonds.

They both have modified NTC (backes becomes modified NTC from NMC this offseason) so there's a chance
And the krug trade is just an idea to clear up cap, he doesn't have to go to the oilers it could be anywhere

Backes will have to provide an 8 team list that he can be traded to. The rest he can block any trade to. NJ won’t be on the list. Krug has an 8 team no trade list. Edmonton is on it.
