Initial Creation Date: Apr. 30, 2019
Published: Apr. 30, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Studnicka has ALREADY been called up!
They need him for some offensive push on that third line!
They started to play Pasta back on that first and second line, so he will slot in there again...
Kuhlman keeps playing well with Krejci and Debrusk, so they will keep him there and scratch Heinen ...
They will bring Backes and Wagner in after a heavy hitting game...
And they will keep Coyle and Mojo together, but Charlie can play right wing...

So many things wrong with this... Heinen has been one of the bruins' best players this playoffs, yet we scratch him?
Also even if Studnicka came up, which he won't, coyle would stay at center and studnicka would move to the wing. Coyle has practice being an NHL center and being defensively responsible, which isn't the case for Stud. Also, backes and wagner is a terrible idea. Wagner's lower body injury has clearly slowed him, and backes just isn't good enough to take the place of nordstrom or acciari.

Also I'm unsure, but does anyone know whether calling him up would make him eligible for the expansion draft?

they probably called him up to play because there will be a hole on the wing when marchand is suspended.

IIRC, 1st and 2nd year pros are exempt from the draft. I also don't know if playing a single game (either AHL/NHL) qualifies as a year of eligibility.

We'll see, but players get called up all the time during the playoffs once their AHL team is eliminated. Kyle Keyser was with Boston last year during their playoff run, but it was just to practice with the team.

IF Studnicka made his way into the line-up though...

Marchand - Bergeron - Heinen
DeBrusk - Krejci - Pastrnak
Johansson - Coyle - Studnicka

^That's your top 9

There is more wrong with your comment than wrong with my thing lol... Studnicka was already called up, that's why I made this frown
Furthermore, Studnicka is a center, Coyle is a right wing who can play center so that is also wrong... As far as Wagner, I didn't know he was injured so my bad, but Backes has played well in the games he has been in, so ok put him, Kuraly, and Acciari in as fourth, but yes Backes should go in... And as well as Heinen has played, he only has 4 points and those came before he was with that top pair in Marchy and Bergy so clearly something isn't working... Please don't come on here and be rude, but also have just all wrong statements

Well He is a center, so no... and Marchy is not gonna be suspended I don't believe.

Yes, playing in playoff games means nothing... McAvoy played in the playoffs two years ago and this is still only his second year (not third)

Like I said to the other guy though, Heinens points came before he was back on that top line... also Kuhlman has slotted in beautifully with Krejci and Debrusk... and again Coyle actually plays right wing whereas Studnicka is a center so idk

I like his physical play, but he has like no points in 15 games so something, maybe an assist I forget... Physical play is great, but at least Backes can put up some points... Plus Fredrick isn't called up so I couldn't put him in lol

Here's the problem. Marchand/Bergeron are struggling right now. Pastrnak is struggling right now, and I don't think putting the 3 together is going to help. Not only that (I wish I could find the tweet), but Bergeron's possession numbers get worse when Henien has come off that line. As for the rest...

Kuhlman - I like him, but he's not a top 6 winger. 4th liner energy role or even 3rd line if he's feeling it.

Coyle C/RW - Cassidy like him at Center and there is a lot of responsibility there. It kind of unfair to Studnicka (who also plays RW btw) to come into a playoff series and assume that role. Let him get his feet wet on the RW and if he want, give him some shifts at center and see how it look.

If they play Studnicka they will have to protect him in the expansion draft. Hes with the black aces and wont (and shouldnt) play in these playoffs

I think first you'd have to understand what constitutes as a "pro year" but even still if he played a game this year and it counted, it would be his "1st year" and therefore next year is his 2nd and should fall under the 1st and 2nd year pros don't need protecting.

He didn't play in 2016... Don't be sarcastic and wrong...

He played in the 2017, 18, and now 19 playoffs, but he didn't play during the 2016-2017 season

That was the 2017 Playoffs (2016 - 2017 season)... You might be right about the contract obviously, but stop trying to say he played in 2016

They hadn't.... They were actually one of the few teams that hasn't been doing rapid call ups... Just stud, Fitz, and I believe Keyser... Those other names are just there on this website because the AHL playoffs ended and its something weird lol... Come on man
