Pesce for now is a tad better than Sergachev, but not by much. Sergachev is also younger, only 20 years old and still considered as elite prospect. Pesce is out of that status. I'd actually imagine Sergachev having more value as of now, that can change though depending on Sergachev's future contract.

Point for Pesce and this year's first and second might make sense if the other team was in the first 10 (hello, certain Western Conference teams), but not Carolina. I don't think this one's happening without another big name, like Svechnikov. And I don't think that's a good strategy for an up-and-coming team like the Hurricanes. The problem with any trade structured like this is that Tampa has cap problems, which is why they would even dream of trading Point, so taking back two or three prime players would necessarily involve a bigger cap hit.
