No way the 2020 firtt round pick from Mtl is reserved for Alexis Lafreniere .

That would be the dream. But no way Montreal will get him with a bottom pick in the first round.

If you sign Marner it probably wont even need to be a first. A second rounder will get him.

Why not? He will make a quick 28 million. Then hit open market again at the age of 29. Then he can sign a 7 year deal for 9-10 million a year.

It's a two year deal that will give him an extra 10-15 million in his carerr. The 14 x2 is a creative way to get him to tax heavy quebec. After the two years in Montreal he can sign a 7 year deal in Florida.
Montreal has the cap space for it. And he would help them make a run in the next two years.

Yeah it's a big dream. Would be fun if that type of contract could come in to play. It's a smart way for a UFA to make an extra 10-15 million thru out their career.
