It would be a better move for Yzerman to pursue Trouba in free agency instead of giving up future pieces for him.

I’ve been waiting to see someone include Bert on a Trouba trade. Cus boy, he’s the type of guy the Jets are missing and I’m not kidding. In the playoffs they need a guy like him. In my opinion as a wings fan though, he’s the third most untouchable on that team after Larkin and Hronek. So I wouldn’t do it. Rest looks nice but maybe some underpays

A typical bad deal for Trouba....sendin his to a non playoff team and expecting big assest. That Ottawa deal looks like something Ottawa might really like.
Faulk and Trouba are in the same situation, both UFAs in a year. Maybe the Jets should keep Trouba.
