Description
Trades to bring in some solid defensive players. Move Lupul to Arizona to get to the cap floor because he won't be playing any more games. We could probably chip in a draft pick if they want.

If the Carlyle is coaching the ducks next season then he will probably want a few guys he knows. He liked Bozak and the ducks needs a scoring winger. They also recover some picks they traded away.

The Jets will probably want a top 4 LH defenseman for Trouba. Gardiner will be cheaper and plus they receive another top 6 LH defenseman in Marincian and a pick.

I used 5 million as the cap hit for most of these guys but I'm sure it was be played around with. I just assumed that it would be in that neighborhood.

I put Robidas and Horton on LTIR but we should have enough space at the start of the season.

        1) Lupul is actual salary LTIR or not and Arizona can sign a UFA that can help.
        2) The WPG and ANA trades may work but WPG may want 30th overall rather than Marincin and the 4th.

I really like the ideas behind your trades; they make sense and they're ones I haven't seen before. However, they do need to be tweaked, especially the Ducks deal.

Anaheim wouldn't be willing to part with Lindholm and (as much as Carlyle may like Bozak) they're already overcrowded at Center, so the deal could be simplified to the framework of JVR for Andersen. The looming expansion draft may make for a trade market (and thereby drive Andersen's value down) so the Leafs might be able to get some additional value back. Kevin Bieksa is worth next to nothing to the Ducks, so the Leafs could add him for experience/leadership/depth on the blue-line if they were so inclined; he has an NMC, but he could waive it to go home to Ontario (the NMC also means the Leafs would have to buy him out before the expansion draft, but the buyout Cap hit would be minimal at that point). Simon Despres, Brandon Montour, and Josh Manson will likely all be exposed in the expansion draft, so one of them could also be on the table for the right price.

Change the 1st in the Anaheim trade to the 2nd round pick #31 and add in the 1st round pick #30 to the Winnipeg deal.

JVR for Andersen would be a non starter for me. That seems like a overpayment for a goalie. Dont forget that NJ traded their first (9th overall) for Schneider. Shitty trade by Vancouver but even still when was the last time a goalie was traded for a top 6 forward? I think Andersen is good but way too much risk involved. Trade for the defenseman and be patient with goaltending until you find the right guy.
