I don't see the Devils making that first trade. They have plenty of bottom 6 forwards and bottom pairing D.

Perlini has never had more than 30 points in a season. He is not a 2nd line winger

I’ll just intervene and say there is a chance he could be. When Chicago inevitably makes zero good moves, look for him on the Strome and DeBrincat line getting easy points.

Perhaps switch the second round pick with Tampa’s first.

I think you could make arguments that Gus for Nurse is evenish, and Saad for Puljujärvi favors Saad at this point. I think the trade depends on a GUS extension... having a Gus Bouchard pair would be very interesting.

I'm saying it's bad for Edmonton based upon the contract status for all players involved plus they shouldn't be trading their 1st round pick for those two.
