I think value is pretty fair, but Flo would be better keeping these assets and signing one (or both!) of Bob or Breadman.

Florida would have Malkin, Barkov and Trochek as their top three centers. They immediately become a true contender and like you said, that may sway Panarin away from the Rangers.

Yeah, I was honestly just curious to see what that might look like. The Murray deal is an overpay, but the Pens are also taking Darling off their hands and getting a true #1 goalie with room to sign him long-term, but I can see an argument for altering it.

Hmmm... You had Panarin signing for $7M. Was that a "rumor" or "someone else's suggestion???" LOL Panarin isn't signing for a penny less than $9.5M if whoever he goes to is lucky. He's probably getting closer to the league max.

Fun thought process. I think the shine is off Murray and no one is paying that kind of price for him. But the others make sense. That Sid Trade... wow.

Murray had a rough go for various reasons, but once he shook it all off he got back to VERY strong play. He was also not even close to the reason the Pens failed in the playoffs. He's a legit #1 goalie in this league. Maybe I'd take the 2nd rounder off that trade for him, but taking Darling back so they can sign Murray is alone worth quite a bit.

I know especially when it’s the truth. I’ve seen crazy things on here like Point signing for 7-7.5 million per year or EK for 8 million, but you never know. Crazy things happen all the time. Do I think some players will take less money to be with a certain team most definitely YES, the real question is how much of a discount. I’m sure most are excited to see this off season unfold.
