That's an awful trade for both sides, if you're looking ONLY at last year.

Yeah because DAL has to pay a first with a constant 70-point winger in exchange to a under 40-point winger who's becoming UFA in a year.
Awful trade for Stars.
Toffoli is a 25-30 goal scorer on a good team, and he was one of the few Kings where you could look at his point totals and say he didn't get what he deserved last year. He was consistently an offensive threat (one of the few in last year's terrible year), but suffered from a career low shooting percentage and some god-awful puck luck all year. Word is the Kings were looking for a 1st round pick from the Bruins in exchange for Toffoli at the deadline, so I'd imagine the price has dropped, but not by much. The Stars would be getting a very good player who will be playing for a contract on a bounce-back year.
From LA's point of view, Radulov is well over the average age they are trying to get the team down to (6 years older than Toffoli as well), costs 2million more than Toffoli, and would be required to be protected at the expansion draft. Of course a 1st would come in to play in this trade. Not only are the Kings losing Toffoli, they're losing the player they didn't get to protect instead of Radulov.
If I was Blake looking at the Stars, I'd say my offer would be Toffoli and the LAK 2019 3rd round pick for Nichushkin and Dallas's 2019/2020 1st round (whichever is left after Zucc signs or leaves). The Stars get the offensive depth to settle their second line, and what should be a good player in the early 3rd round, while the Kings get a little younger, project player who's also playing for a contract/to stay in the NHL after struggling last year, and the upside of a 1st round pick in 2020. What do you guys think?
