Leafs take this and run. Really hoping there's a GM out there dumb enough to believe the Kapanen, Johnsson, Marner disgustingly over valuing hype

Actually, I'd say this is kind of the bare minimum return Toronto would look for. 2nd is offer sheet compensation while Bear is a nice throw-in to sweeten the pot. Jujhar adds marginal value which I guess some Toronto pundits might like as well.

But are you a Toronto fan? Because if so you would already know that Kapanen is a 3rd line player who is massively overrated and would be lucky tablet that return

It's obvious discussing this with you is not going to be fruitful given your disdain for the leafs. For everyone else, I think Kapanen is a fine middle 6 winger who can contribute at 5v5, on the PP, and the PK.

Lol wrong again. I am a massive leaf fan. I watched every game hes ever played and many with the Marlies. 8 live this year actually. So I am aware he is your average 3rd line player who had inflated stats because of playing on a line with the best 5 on 5 scorer I'm the league and a top 3-5 player in the world

I wasn't aware Kapanen played with JT, and while I agree that Kapanen isnt as good as the hype I think his skill set (speed) would work well with McDavid, or Draisaitl who are both great playmakers. Also if I dont have a Toronto trade no one will look apon all my hard work

Matthews is statistically the best 5 on 5 goal scorer in the world. It's not an opinion.
I agree he would work with Mcdavid but they shouldn't overpay for him

Ok that i have no issue with, I thought you meant top 5 best player in the world then I'd argue, he's fantastic offensively, not that I'm throwing shade at his defensive game

Matthews was excellent defensively against Boston and all year. He plays with 3rd line plugs and still luggs them around scoring

I don't get the SJS trade. Why?

Dallas trade probably doesn't happen.

I do t think they'll trade both but i think persson and Jones makes one expendable, thought I'd trade them for the type of player i thought i could get back with a similar cap hit
