Whoa there, now that's overpaying for one year of Hall...

As for NSH and TB trades, they're pretty low on value. Turris for 2nd should do it. Don't see TB giving up Raddysh, maybe a 2nd rounder but only if they don't have to take any salary in the exchange.

WPG trade is pretty bad. Many years of Trouba for 34 year old injury prone D, a prospect who hasn't played a game in a year and a 2nd rounder? Not to mention that Trouba is also underpaid here.

I'd prefer the preds to keep turris as opposed to selling low after a bad year.

1)Turris--why does Detroit need another #2 center? I count 3x 2nd line centers in the organization (Veleno, Rassmussen, and Athanasiou) at this point with another potential one coming in the draft (Couzens or Dach).

2)When you retain nearly 50% of Daley's salary and take on Callahan's entire cap hit Raddysh is fair compensation. He's shown 2nd line potential so far in the AHL after tearing it up in the OHL. He's Tampa's 2nd best RW prospect (behind Alex Barre-Boulet). The Wings would probably be better off taking the draft pick as they have plenty of young forwards.

3)A one-year rental of Taylor Hall seems like a terrible idea and giving up 2 top 6 young forwards, a projected #3 d-man, and a 2nd round pick makes it seem worse.

4)Green would veto the trade as he can until Feb 2020. And the Jets would be looking for a young defensive prospect or roster player in a trade.

1) My thought process was mainly this. Rasmussen isn't ready and won't be ready at center for at least 2 seasons. Veleno won't be ready next season. AA is significantly better on the wing where he has less defense to worry about. By the time Rasmussen or Veleno is ready to be a 3c, Glendening will be gone. Nielsen moves down to 4c duties and the kid takes over the third line. Nielsen will be gone by the time a kid is ready to fully take over 2c duties and Turris can move down to 3c, where he will be better suited at that point anyways. If both Veleno and Rasmussen become legitimate options for the 2c role, that's a good problem to have.

3) I should have mentioned in the description that I had a sign and trade in mind for Hall on a 6 year extension. So it wouldn't be a 1 year rental. Hall is dynamic and fills out the second line nicely, today and in a few years. Zadina and Raddysh are still unknowns. That was the one I felt I overpaid on though. Maybe throwing out a lower level prospect instead of Raddysh.

4) I'm not convinced he would veto going to wpg for a season. Sure he likes Detroit, but the chance to compete for a cup has to have a little bit of pull. And as far as wpg is concerned, they get cap space and a veteran guy who can still put up 40 points on the second or third pair when healthy.

Green would be better off playing in Detroit until Dec and then going to management letting them know who he would waive his NTC early for (thus having 1/2 a season to sniff out favorites for the Cup while giving a longer than normal audition for his next contract. As he has that "virus" to contend with.
