I think Danault is underrated. Produces like a fringe 1st line center, and is a great 200' player. Not sure Montreal should add at all, but was fine giving away a 3rd considering all the picks they would have collected.

So the Leafs give up Marleau, Zaitsev, Bracco, and 2 2nd round picks and get Alec Martinez and a 7th round pick back?

Uhhhh...this almost turns into a 4 team deal when you add in Ottawa randomly taking Zaitsev off of Mtl's hands at the end. Lol!

Marleau is negative value and you will need to pay someone to take that contract. Montreal eats half of it (gets paid a 2nd for $3.125M, Kapanen and/or Johnsson now get to stay). Bracco has no spot on the team, and is part of the cost of LA taking the rest of Marleau's contract.

Montreal eats half of Martinez cap (gets paid $2nd for $2M, add it to Marner's raise). Zaitsev is low value at best and has a big cap hit.

Figured Sens would rather pay a player to actually play hockey. Take MacArthur's contract, as Sens owner is always penny pinching. Could find a different deal, but maybe less in return.
